Tracking the flow of money

"The Taxonomic intoxication" reading made me think about the effect that money has on museum's organization, distribution , and research. The way a curators decides to display the information has a huge impact on how facts are shown and perceived my the audience. As the reading says " without government grants , physical plant renewal will be unlikely, and without increased partnership with major corporations , todays museums will not be able to compete for audiences" . So does this mean that valuable and improving knowledge is being lost by regulations and limitations ? I am not sure about the answer but i will like to find out how the natural history museum in new york has worked with this issue. I think this could be a valid information to look into or question when we explore more in depth the exhibitions.
